Decus in the Community
Decus Communications was launched, in part, to share our considerable gifts in marketing, media, branding and public relations with members of the community which couldn’t normally afford the large overhead and sticker shock of a large agency. To do this we have made it a goal to always work with a number of non-profits, church and para-church organizations, foundations and community organizations either in a pro bono, project or reasonable monthly retainer. This makes all of us feel good about going home at the end of a long day and knowing that we have made a difference in those communities we work in. But business case aside; we think it’s just the right thing to do.
Members of the Decus staff also advise non-profits and community organizations trough strategic meetings and through our presence as members of their advisory boards as well as participating in a number of community events, chambers and civic organizations. Among the organizations we’ve worked with are the Salvation Army, Lighthouse, Charlotte Chamber, FCA, Troy Chamber, Clarkston Chamber, Macomb Chamber, Rotary Clubs and the Michigan Non-Profit Association.
In addition, Decus offers its paying non-profit clients a return of 10% percent of their annual fees at the end of the first year of the engagement, making sure that we continue to give back, even in a paid capacity. It’s what separates Decus and it’s why we do what we do.
